The Composition Of Continuous Casting Machine And The Role Of Each Part

Continuous casting machine is a high-temperature molten steel continuous casting into a certain cross-section shape and size specifications billet key equipment, its composition and the role of the various parts are as follows:
1. Ladle turret device
Composition: mainly including casting car and ladle rotary table.
Role: carrying ladle, supporting ladle for casting operation, and realizing rapid ladle replacement to support multi-furnace continuous casting.
2. Tundish
Role: As a transition device between ladle and crystallizer, it is used to stabilize the steel flow, reduce the scouring of the steel flow on the billet shell in the crystallizer, and ensure the uniformity of the liquid steel temperature and the separation and floating of non-metallic inclusions. In the multi-stream continuous casting machine, the middle package also plays the role of liquid steel diversion.
3. Crystallizer
Role: as the continuous casting machine “heart”, the crystallizer is a special water-cooled steel mold, for the initial cooling and solidification of the liquid steel, the formation of a certain thickness of the billet shell, to ensure that the billet is pulled out of the billet is not pulled out of the leakage, deformation or cracks.
4. Mould vibration device
Role: to make the crystallizer do up and down reciprocating movement according to a certain rule, to prevent the primary billet shell from sticking with the crystallizer and being pulled apart.
5. Secondary cooling device
Composition: including water spray cooling device and billet support device.
Role: to accelerate the complete solidification of the billet by spraying water, and through the pinch roller and the side guide roller to support and guide the billet with liquid core, to prevent “bulging belly”, deformation and leakage of steel accidents.
6. Billet straightening machine
Role: Overcome the resistance between billet and crystallizer and second cooling zone in the casting process, pull out the billet smoothly, and straighten the curved billet.
7. Ingot introduction device
Composition: including ingot-inducing head and ingot-inducing rod.
Role: as the “live bottom” of the crystallizer when pouring, blocking the lower mouth of the crystallizer, so that the liquid steel solidifies in the head of the ingot-guiding rod, and pull out the billet through the traction of the straightening machine.
8. Cutting device
Role: in the process of casting billet will be cut into the required length.
9. Billet transportation device
Composition: including roller conveyor, steel pusher, cold bed and so on.
Role: to complete the billet transportation, cooling and other operations.

The composition of the continuous casting machine and its role covers the whole process from steel transportation to billet molding, all parts work together to ensure the efficiency of continuous casting process and billet quality.
