Tundish Car
Tundish car is a key auxiliary equipment in continuous casting production line, which is mainly used for transportation, positioning and replacement of tundish to ensure the continuity and efficiency of continuous casting process. As an important carrier connecting ladle turret and copper mould, the tundish Car undertakes the task of precisely transferring the tundish during the continuous casting process, and is an indispensable automation equipment in modern steel production.
Core Functions
Tundish transportation: Transportation of preheated Copper Mould from the preheating station to the pouring station of the continuous casting machine, or replacement of used tundish to the maintenance area.
Precise Positioning: Ensures that the tundish spout is aligned with the centerline of the copper mould to avoid steel deflection or splashing.
Continuous Production Support: Quick tundish changeover in multi-furnace continuous casting process reduces downtime and improves continuous casting efficiency.
Temperature control assistance: Some models are equipped with a heat-retaining cover or heating device to prevent the temperature of the liquid steel in the tundish from dropping.
